Formulation and review of policies, rules, regulations and standards for the media industry.
Administer all communications and information-related Acts for fulfillment and compliance.

Supporting government Ministries and departments in the development of information-related structures; in the development and expression of national culture, as well as forging national unity, identity, cohesion and consensus.
Articulating Zimbabwe’s position and view internationally.
Cultivating and sustaining international goodwill, understanding and a positive image for the country and Government in pursuit and defense of Zimbabwean interests globally.
Managing, disseminating and deploying national information and communication resources and systems to bridge the rural-urban information divide in support of national development and national consciousness.
